We arrived 8 am but could not check in directly. Fortunatelly the reception told us that our rooms would be avaible at 11 am so we could leave all our luggae in the lobby. We walked in the meantime to Orchard Road. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. We booked rooms with breakfast. The reception did not tell us that the breakfast is in another hotel next to ours. This breakfast until 10 am was poor and very basic. After 9.30 they did not fill up food and drinks. 5 minutes before 10 am they started to put away food and drinks. 3 minutes for 10.am each day the lights were put out even there were more than 30 guest eating their breakfast. This was very terrible, because we travelled more than 50 countries all over the world in more than 100 hotel restaurants and never had this experience before.

The hotel location is very convenient close to everything you need, shops restaurant, the best is comfy and room is very old but clean, I dropped the piece of paper near the table and it was their for 3 days, maybe they are honest ? not to pickup it and clean under the chair, check in process is click but people there working like a robot NO hospitality no smiles. Breakfast was terrible like 2 stars hotel. However over all is just fine as we don’t spend much time in the room and in the hotel

Hotel Grand Central, Singapore. located near somerset mrt dan Dhoby Ghaut mrt station, that's a good point. Not a grand fancy hotel but room is clean, building is well maintenance as well. Don't expect too much for warm hospitality from reception but so far everything is well explain and just express check in and check out. Hotel facility include small gym, swimming pool at rooftop, if your room inc breakfast (or you can pay by visit) it served in 2nd floor together with chancellor hotel. inside the room : clean room with TV with local channel only, iron board, hair dryer, standard hotel amenities (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, soap, comb) and safe deposit box. I was stay for 3 nites, the last night I got problem and the manager is make a phone call to take a report cause the room is not closed after cleaning, lucky my room is in the end and corner so no body will passed my room. hope this clumsy not happen with others. so far, everything is okay and happy for the hotel. good luck and good job for all the staff. Definitely recommended.

Pros: Near Orchard road and train station Water dispenser inside the room Average room size Uncles in concierge and security are helpful and mindful Cons: Frontdesk not friendly and welcoming except for that one young petite Filipina who is very accommodating… you can feel that they are not happy seeing guests.. you will think twice for making any request.. even housekeeping very rude and cannot understand a little english… Very disappointed…

Good Stay at the Grand Central

As our flight arrival was early in the morning and the lady at the reception provided us an early check-in. We stayed for 4 days at the hotel. The best part of the hotel was its location, it is located at Orchard Road. Most of the shopping malls (paragon, center point, somerset, lucky plaza etc.) are located at Orchard Road. There is an eating joint just opposite the hotel and around 200 meters from the hotel there are lot of eateries behind Centerpoint mall. Breakfast at the hotel was just ok, didn't have lunch or Dinner at the hotel. For breakfast also, you have to visit the Hotel Chancellor, which is adjacent to Grand central. Most of the time we ordered from outside, that too Indian food. Swimming pool is located at the rooftop and it does have an awesome from the rooftop. Overall, it was a good stay at the hotel.
